Hi everyone....I see you've found some of the new features we have now. There is still a lot of tweaking going on in the background but if any of you run into something which has changed, or anything you can't now find, could you let us know in this thread -

Anthea- I found my subscribed threads under the "watched threads" button. When it opens up, though, you'll only see them listed if there's a new post on the thread. However, right under where it says "You do not have any watched threads that are unread" is a little sentence that says "show all watched threads", which is easy to miss, cuz it's pale and small. But tap there, and "voila", there's your threads. Not exactly "easy peasy", but at least you'll find your threads!

Thanks Sam, I found it with the aid of my special magnifying glass for 28 year olds.

I "upped" your "like" and "followed" you, by the way. I don't know what that means, but if it gets creepy I'm out!

Before the update, it was befriending, now it's following somebody. If you look at your list, you'll find the members that were your friends before, but now as "following", and if they follow you in return, you have "followers". You can see it on your profile page.

Edit: just worked out how to follow! So i'm following you too. Now I shall go on a quest to find people to follow. You are now obliged to do interesting things to justify my following. Hmm, I guess I have to too!

Before the update, it was befriending, now it's following somebody. If you look at your list, you'll find the members that were your friends before, but now as "following", and if they follow you in return, you have "followers". You can see it on your profile page.

I didn't know you could befriend someone on the IPF, learning something new every day! I have always used the app, so it's a very different experience using the website.

When you say "profile page", is that the page you get to if you click on your avatar? I don't see any list of friends there. Maybe I have no friends. Also can't see my new follower.

For all of us from the IPF app, the concept of following or befriending is entirely new to us. We could do neither of these things, so you're probably referring to the web based IPF (or whatever you call it!). I'm pretty sure that 99% of us on this thread are from the app... Hence the constant discovery of "this and that", and the confusion! It really is quite different over here!

I also used the app, but there always was the possibility to change to website view within the app.
If you only used the app, and never went to website view, this all will be new to you.

I am not even going to begin (arbitrary use of italics) to attempt to use this forum on my iPhone! Just the HayDay chat on my iPhone makes me feel every single one of my 28 years! (Ahem). Let them work out the kinks first!

I just "Thanked " Sam's post. I have no idea what that means or why I'd even want to do it, but I was feeling left out with all the liking and following you guys have been while I've been gone!

I think I'm going to be sad and uninteresting here...not sure why I need to be liked and followed and have trophies?? I think I need a guidebook.....

Have you noticed the icons at the bottom have different badges..."like", "friendly", "winner", etc. Not sure why or what it does.....
But I "Winner"-ed Anthea's post anyway!

If you look at your list of watched threads, on the right hand side you will see a column headed Last Message. Tap on the date/time of that last message and it will take you to the last post in that thread. Make sure you don't tap on the person's avatar, cos then it just takes you to their avatar.

Yeah, but it used to take you to the last post you saw when you last signed out...I always thought that was cool because you could catch up from where you left off. Now I have to do multiple steps -- find the button, go to the end, scroll back to where I left off, and then scroll forward to catch up....

Of course you want to liked and followed and have trophies! Who doesn't? And thanks for thanking my post! I "rainbowed" yours, just to see what it was, and apparently it's "optimistic" - I wonder if you'll get a trophy for it? I'm off to seek grand pirating adventures and get into all sorts of interesting scrapes so Anthea continues to follow me - I shall report back later

Entering into the spirit of it all, I just "carrotted" your post, and wondered why the badge is "useful". I mean, I know carrots are good for you and they're very tasty, and an extremely versatile vegetable, but my first thought on pondering a carrot isn't usually that it's useful. Then, with the aid of my trusty magnifying glass for 28 year olds, I discovered that the carrot is, in fact, a spanner.
