HayDay Friends Off-Topic

I loved watching them! Fran was so excellent in treating the puppets as if they were breathing creatures! I was trying to think of what "channel" they were on! Do you remember, Nancy? We had 2, 4, 5, 7, 11, 13, and UHF. Ha! You had to get up, go to the tv in order to change the channel! Oh, Kimba, the White Lion! Speed Racer! Gumby! Do you remember Hobo Kelly? Captain Kangaroo? Ah, then Sunday night...homemade buttered popcorn and we would watch The Wonderful World of Disney! A few more puppet memories... Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog! A Classic, Danny Kaye and "Thumbalina" from The Ugly Duckling! (I had the great privilege to appear on The Danny Kaye Special which was shot at The Golden Horseshoe Review at Disneyland! Danny was a true professional!)

I think here it was on channel 2. We also had a channel 6 although I don't remember who had that one.

Sunday night was The Wonderful World of Disney and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. (Poor Jim did all the work there; Marlin Perkins just seemed to watch and send Jim to wrestle the alligators etc!)

Oh, you're a celebrity -- Danny Kaye, wow. My dad would have been massively impressed -- he liked him a lot!

I love the way puppets were used in the stage production of The Lion King. <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54163"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54164"/> <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54165"/> Chumleyboo, level 79

Blast from the past - Anyone remember Andy Pandy? Sent from my iPad mini using iPF. GC: kruella jones (2 words no caps) Be aware that I'm not a sugar mill or a dairy farm. There will be exceptions but they will never become the rule :)
the name sounds familiar, but I don't recognize it! :/
My favourite was called The Friendly Giant YouTube Link: http://youtu.be/WV2P6P4p6Hg It ran every day in the morning as I recall, followed by Captain Kangaroo. And Mr Dressup... <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=54197"/> GC: narab1 | HD: level 67 | DV: level 29
