They've issued flash flood warnings. A few years ago, some slopes let loose and 8 homes had 5 feet of mud in them! I think (hope) the worst is over.

My first car was a 1970 VW Bug. It was an auto-stick which means no clutch pedal! Taking your foot of the gas automatically engages the clutch. There is a stick shift to change gears. Mine was a pale yellow like the one in this pic! I bought it for $1,700, had it for 9 years, and sold it for $1,700! Ha!

The first car I ever owed that I bought MYSELF was a blue 1991 Toyota Tercel that looked just like this one. It was a stick shift and I bought it for $5000 in about 1997 and sold it for $600 in 2004 I loved it because it represented my independence at the time, but it didn't have a single cup holder which SO annoyed me that it's the first thing I ever look for in any car since then!

My car was built in 1970 and I did NOT get it new!! Lol! This was the first car I bought myself and not a parental hand-me-down. When I worked at Disneyland, employees all parked in one HUGE lot. When I would see a Bug I would walk by it to cross to the next row of cars.

My Bug had roll down window handles, no AC, and these side vent windows you would open if you were hot. It steered all the bugs right at you!!! My first car was a 1968 Ford Mustang. It was a V8, automatic. I paid $2000 for it. There was a button on the floor by my left foot that was used to switch to high beams. the windows were manual and it did have air conditioning. It was this color green but I didn't have fancy tires or rims. I washed it almost every weekend. I loved that car!
