Better late than never. This is glass block in my bathroom, taken just as the sun was coming up so it's not so bright....but gives you a better idea of what it looks like, I think. I love all the light I get in my bathroom!

Another pic from the trail where I walk my dog....taken in the summer - it was so gorgeous, I stopped to take photos which didn't quite capture the play of light, but still, I think they're pretty . I love lying on fresh cut grass (after taking anti allergy tabs lol) looking up at the bright sunshine and clouds.. The beautiful blue sky.

(Sigh) Just lovely . It's POURING rain here today..ALL day! I guess it's what makes it green and gorgeous here, but it looks so very grey and gloomy :/ GC: EyeC999 Level 86

It's been raining here since the weekend. We had a tornado rip through our area on Saturday. The storm was quick but caused a lot of damage.

I wish it could be simple. Like December January & February are winter months, therefore should just be snowy.
March April May - mild air, with a few showers here and there
June July August - summer months, sun sun sun and nothing but blue skies!
September October November - cooler air, few storms..

This is, obviously, my front door!! You might recognize the glass from the LIGHT change we just did!! If you look carefully, you might be able to see me taking that picture from the other side of the glass!

Lol! Well, that's a lovely door....looks very suitable to the task of "coming and going", and the keeping out of creepy crawlies, and the unwashed masses and other undesirables! . And I think...yes, I can!....I CAN see you taking that other pic from yesterday....!!!!! And here, ladies and gentlemen, is my extraordinarily boring front door. In my defense I would like to say that I did not purchase, nor paint this door. I did not hang the knocker, either. It's an apartment door, and I only rent it. I can vouch for what's behind it, however, which is decidedly NOT boring, that being myself and my husband , who, incidentally, are in the early processes of purchasing our own house, and then I SHALL own the front door, and I promise it won't look like this one....thank you. <img src="http://www.ipadforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=52872"/> GC: EyeC999 Level 88

It, too, serves it's purpose of keeping out the rain and raccoons and vagrants and the Fuller Brush man and the Avon lady and the Girl Scouts selling cookies, well maybe you should let them in!! . I do think you have a mighty fine knocker, however, they do look better in pairs!

BTW, I know Carolyn and the rest of us in CA. So want it to pour down rain. We may get a sprinkle this weekend, but if we get as much as they are forecasting in Feb. stock up on your wine's, because it could be a disaster for the grapes. Damn.

How about this perspective about your doors:

When you have invited friends, family, guests to your home...they have waited at your doors anticipating the lovely time they will have with you once you open those doors!

A very special package has waited at those doors and when you see it has arrived, you are joyful!

How many times, Donna, have your aging parents come and gone through those doors?

When you first got your home, putting the new set of keys in the lock, how did that feel?

It's not the doors, it is YOU that make them special.
