Ok so you told us about the sand, the flies, the wind and the man-eating sharks ....but you forgot the most important reason not to go to the beach !! Man eating emu's !!!

OMG! The emus!! I forgot about the emus!

OMG, ya gotta go, been there for Marci Gras with my raging Cajun friend, 3 times. But the best was the old Cajun parties with her folks outside of lake Charles. Men on horse,s picking up live chickens for the local gumbo party after the home made floats paraded thru the back woods. Will look for a picture and hope to post it one day. What a hoot! My Nr 1 bucket destination is cold but you can get badly sunburnt if you're not careful, it's desolate but for a few months of the years teams with people, it's not of its self breathtaking but looks upon one of the most breathtaking sights in all the world....I want to walk to Everest base camp and gaze upon the highest mountain in the world. I have no idea why but it's a dream I've had for a while

How could you have forgotten the emus ?!? Did you see any dropbears on your way to the beach ?? Sand flies are a pain - I almost feel sorry for you ..she says whilst shivering in the damo cold of a north European winter mwahahahahaha ...ok flies are a pain anywhere in the world lol Glad you had a great time hun

Haha Brrrrr. We used to go on a weekend trip we called the March Party. That was when I lived in Northern Nevada. Always a different destination and all centered around winter sports...mostly downhill or cross country skiing. Once we went to the Peter Grubb Hut. It was a day of cross country skiing to get there....while bringing all of our supplies on our backs. No electricity or running water. It was cold and beautiful. Here's a pic I got off the web. There was a lot of snow that year, just like this pic shows.
