This is a Rainbow Lorikeet, a beautiful bird which descends on our almond tree at about this time each year, in flocks of 20 or 30, and completely strips the tree of nuts. The first time it happened we rushed out with the camera to capture it on film. Now we squirt water at them with the hose. They just ruffle their feathers and preen! Chumleyboo, level 75

Wow, I can't imagine seeing this in ANY tree, let alone one in my own garden! Or a flock of them in my garden...! Gorgeous! But I'd also be a bit peeved if it nicked all my almonds!

This is such an interesting take on how I saw this change to be! I saw it how Michelle and I saw it. Or people posting pics if actual rainbows!! Rainbows in the picture of something else! Lips, birds, pupils! For sure then, where IS rainbow Jack?!! Well, I'm going to still do my interpretation and allow all you colorful people these super cool "rainbow" pics!! Awesome!!

Orange is probably my favorite color. I haven't surrounded myself with it, but in general, it represents happiness, passion, intensity life and joy to me This goes back to my earliest childhood memories, and just makes me feel GOOD GC: EyeC999 Level 83

Thanks, Samantha! Red, orange, green, indigo are from my garden all photographed today. (The indigo is the inspiration that I drew that pic from on Draw Cast-remember?!!) The Cuties (clementines) I was going to draw but got hooked on Hay Day instead!! The grapes are from my Napa Valley trip in August. The "Violets in a Basket" is a watercolor I painted years ago.

That's the beauty of people... We are all colors of the rainbow and can interpret things as it pleases us!!
