OK, I have an app that puts a dot on the fret and asks me to identify it, and that's good - however - I want to be able to think note and find it on the fretboard.
So I'm looking for an app that has a blank fretboard that allows me to touch it, and then tells me what the not I touched is. For example, if I touched the 3rd fret on the B string the letter D would be displayed.
When I'm improvising, I often think of the note I want to play, and then place my finger there. That's natural for me. So I want software that increases that relationship (think note, press string, plays note).
Free is best, reasonable fee is OK.
I have software for this on my Android phone, but the iPod sits near me when I have a few moments to spare.
