Lots of budweisers necessity,

Then a pitta bread with meat in, I'd like to name what the meat is but it could be lamb, cat, dog, bit of lemon juice and chilli sauce

Hopefully it's the first and not the ladder!

It wouldn't surprise me for a ladder to be in it,
Could use it as a tooth pick :)

Almost as I had feared. But not quite.
And is the, erm, mystery meat the reason it carries the name Donner (as in the infamous Donner Party)?

Thankfully not Donner but Doner!

I have to admit that I love the things but some of the kebab shops can be a bit hit and miss but once you have found a good one then it's great!

Totally agree! Went to one in Weymouth and was sick as a dog! Got to be careful where you buy those things! Needless to say, haven't eaten one since so that cured me of that! I found the thread, Gab.

The problem with being sick after a Doner is often not the Doner but what you were doing immediately before!

Thank you. Doner NOT Donner. Massive distinction. :) And this is what happens when reading the forums bleary-eyed and bushy-tailed without any coffee.

The heat does things to the appetite. Had a 99 cone at the British Museum for lunch. Cost 3x more than 99p!

Had egg salad followed by toffee & vanilla ice cream with banana at home this afternoon.

Beautiful summer day today, which means time to fire up the grill.
On the menu:
Halibut steaks
Grilled corn salad (with cilantro, queso cotija, walnuts, and jalapeño)
Grilled peaches w vanilla bean ice cream

Off to local farm stand to acquire produce.

I love summer and farmers' markets. Fresh everything (strawberries, peas, asparagus, spinach, lettuce +) and local cheese and meat and baked goods.

Not to put anyone off, but I tried a spleen dish the other day. Loved it. I would most anything (definitely draw the line at cats and dogs though).

Sadly I unknowingly ate horse meat about 15 years ago. Don't remember too much about it. Knowingly I would stay away...well probably.
