Is it possible to create sub files in mail to store emails you wish to keep i.e genealogy, holidays etc

In my experience the only way to do this is to create the folder in the email account with which your ipad email app is linked.

For example, if you are using hotmail: log into hotmail through a web browser and create the new folder.
Then open the ipad email app, click mailboxes, edit, add new mailbox (at the bottom of screen), select hotmail and then select the new folder to bring it across.

You can create folders on the fly, as it were, if you are using an IMAP or Exchange mail account on your iPad. Since I'm too lazy to type it all out again, have a look at my post (#4) in this thread: http://www.ipadforums.net/new-membe...sistance/60856-extra-folder-mail-account.html

It'll give you a mini-tutorial on how to do this. And - again, this is not possible on a POP account, it's only for IMAP and Exchange.
