Need some help..got myself new ipad2 (i,m new to apple software) and been on YouTube on how to save emailed video clips, and they all say the same thing "download video clip" hold until a popup appears "save video" and it saves to photos. Which is fine. BUT when I hold down and wait for the popup, it appears saying "quick look" or "open in oplayer lite" or "drop box" or "open with..." most of which are apps i have downloaded, AND NOT "save video" is there anything in the settings that I can change to make this happen .....?? Most videos I,m trying to save are WMV format.

I use AV PlayerHD and Ace Player and when you tap "open in" they are saved within those apps. If you particularly want them in your videos rather than leaving them in those apps you can transfer them through itunes file sharing. I do it all the time.

To the best of my knowledge the Photos app won't work with WMV. You'll need mp4 or mov format, and even then not all quality settings will work. Photos is quite picky.

Yup, Photos app won't work with WMV. You need mp4 or mov format.
Maybe you could get GPlayer and have a try.
