email failing!

Well, my theory of volume of emails was blown up today. Late in the day I had an empty inbox and received
a single email that caused the program to fail.......the mystery continues. :-)

ok, problem solved...I had installed an app called XSysinfo that clears memory. It was apparently
stepping on the system mail program! Be careful if you use this utility.

That's bizarre. I thought many people recommend xsysinfo to free up memory and display system info.

It does seem to clear memory but for some reason it caused my mail app to fail. At first I thought it was just the
"deep clean" option that was causing it but it occurred even using the normal clean option.
I've turned both options off and only use it when I have an empty inbox.

I've been wondering how this app works. It's starting to sound like it may use an unpublished API. If so it could disappear from the App Store at anytime if Apple gets curious enough to investigate.

At any rate, you should probably go to their support page and report your bug. Maybe they can fix it.

Same here

Been having the same problem for a few weeks now (ever since the OS update), on both my iPad & my iPhone. Only way I get around it is to try to get an email open so I can delete them one by one. And sometimes that takes a couple of tries...

Was hoping the newest OS update would help, but doesn't seem to be... So far
