Apple has named “Toca Nature” as its Free App of the Week for this week. Thus, from now through next Thursday, you’ll be able to download the award-winning education app for both iPhone and iPad for free. The app normally costs $2.99, so there's no reason why you shouldn't make use of this sweet deal. Here's what Apple's iTunes editors have to say about it:

"Mold the world to your liking with nothing but a finger in TOCA Boca’s inspiring app. Create mountain ranges, carve out lakes, and grow forests—then watch as animals populate their new homes. Gorgeous polygonal visuals make the whole experience mesmerizing, and creating a lively ecosystem is the perfect way to teach kids about animals’ natural habitats."

And here's how the developers behind the game describe it:

"Shape nature and watch it develop. Plant trees and grow a forest. Raise a mountain and enjoy the view. Collect berries, mushrooms or nuts, and feed the different animals. Learn who eats what and discover how much it takes to winkle a bear out. Walk through different landscapes and become friends with a fox. Capture the moment of woodpeckers zigzagging between trees, and watch the day turn into night."

If this has got your attention, here's a clip with the game:
