Double photos on iPad

Hi and welcome to the Forum!
How were these photos put on your iPad as this will make a difference.
The IPad Forum is a community of members from all walks of life and from all over the world coming together to share our experiences and to help each other learn about this wonderful piece of technology the Ipad. Don't worry about those. Those are just links to the originals. It's like a cross-referencing system, but you have only one real photo.
By the way, if you try to delete from Events, you'll get a confirmation request, asking you whether you want to delete everywhere. That actually means everywhere, so you risk losing your picture(s) unless you've got them backed up. So best to leave them alone unless you really want to delete everywhere.
