Do the new ipads come with ios5 on them?

If I went and bought a new ipad tomorrow would it come with ios5 on it?

Then I would never have to sync to itunes?

If you bought it from an Apple Store, very probably, and you could ask to be sure.

If you bought it form Apple Online, probably.

If you buy it though some other retail outlet, maybe. Depends on how much back stock they have. You can ask, and maybe they can get you one with iOS 5, if they have any yet.

Thank you. Since I was going to be near an apple store today, I thought I might get one for my husband but he wants to wait for the ipad3.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the iPad 3 has. It will be a while yet, mid to late Spring probably. Though the rumors should start any time, as soon as the iPHone 4s gets old, maybe two more days.
