I feel this topic deserves it's own thread rather than posts being swallowed up in a general thread, such as anything goes.

Remember, celebrations are going on world wide.

i watched a lot of it on the tv,it was amazing,the Horse pageant was fantastic,no one can do pomp and ceremony like the Brits

OK, I'm short of time, so I'm putting up some photos I took when the Queen visited Bromley in May, 2012. The visit was part of her UK tour in the run up to the big events.

cool,such a shame about the weather but it clearly didn't stop people enjoying it,hope you didn't get too wet.

I was extremely lucky weatherwise. It stopped drizzling when I reached Tate Modern. The rain held off till I was walking back to Southwark tube station. The heavens really opened!

At Victoria, there were crowds on the main concourse waiting for their trains. In their wisdom, Southern Rail was running trains at 1 per hour on each line. My train was a short one to boot,

I went back to my original plan, and travelled to Tate Modern in Southwark. It was less crowded, and I found a spot at the foot of the Millennium Bridge.















Cloud shrouded the top of the Shard at London Bridge. The Post Office Tower about a mile away ran an electronic banner in celebration.
