Touch icon until it begins to wobble and displays an x in the upper left of the icon. Then tap icons you want to delete. When done tap home button to return icons to normal state, This same technique is used to rearrange icons.n you can move them to another home screen by grabbing a wobbly icon and sliding it to the far right of the screen which will result in home screen advance.

Hi Tammy - welcome to the forum!

The previous poster has given you the proper advice, BUT keep in mind that this will remove the app (and all of its data) from your iPad if that is your intention!

Also note that "built in" apps cannot be removed. They will not have the red circle with the x. A quick way to stop the wiggle if you like to avoid using the home button is to slightly pull down on the notification area - it is at the top where the time is.
