Creating documents with photos

hi all, I've read some posts and it seems like everyone is so helpful. I've had my ipad2 for about 2 months now and I'm using it so much. Really getting used to using it for work related tasks. One of the main reasons my company invested in it for me is because I am a field worker who does field visits and I inspect sites/houses. I find it so cumbersome to write text in Pages and then exit to use the camera to photograph deficiencies then select from the camera roll to insert the photo into my memo. I then email the whole thing to myself to clean up the alignment and everything in word before I distribute to recipients. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. It was actually easier before when I hand wrote notes, prepared my summary in word, then inserted pictures from my phone. What am I doing wrong?? Is there a program that will allow me to take pictures while I am still in a document and will let me insert it directly? Thank you in advance.
