We’ve all seen the You Tube video of Iggy the cat playing Smule’s Magic Piano on the iPad by now, but this week the app has been getting even more prestigious exposure (no offense, Iggy) with celebrated Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang showcasing Magic Piano at a recent concert at San Francisco’s Davies Hall.

The Wall Street Journal’s Digits blog reports that Smule sent an iPad pre-loaded with the app to Lang Lang, who was actually the main inspiration behind the creation of Magic Piano, which is designed to get everyone playing the piano, be they a complete novice (or a cat), or a concert pianist. Clearly Lang Lang must have been impressed by the app and the iPad, because he whipped it out onstage and proceeded to play Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee. And it actually sounds pretty amazing, as you’ll find out if you check out the amateur You Tube video. Magic Piano is available for 99 cents from the iTunes iPad App Store.

Check out the video after the jump!
