Can't update apps with iPad 1

I now have two apps I can't update on my iPad 1 because I can't update to iOS 6. I don' t care about updating the apps, but the apps stay in my update cue, greyed out and won't let me disregard or deselect them. I always have 2 apps to update on my app icon. Any suggestions?

I got the same issue today with Cut The Rope.

My best guess is to delete the app, but first you need to backup it on iTunes to avoid losing it. Pretty sure that it's impossible to get an older version of the app when a new higher requirement is set.

Probably we'll get more and more apps that cannot update in the next few month. I don't mind not updating them but that notification on the AppStore is annoying to see all the time...
