Can Camera Roll be just that?

Is there any way to make Camera Roll just what the name says - camera roll? I see all possible imported photos there, e.g. all those I had to "import" from Dropbox just to set as a wallpaper, or others I "imported" from other sources.
Or can at least another view be created which would display only photos taken by the camera?

You could make a folder to contain the photographs you take with the camera, but Camera Roll will always contain any image added to the iPad, regardless of the source.

You mean an actual folder or just an album (which AFAIK you have to fill manually later on)?

An album that you have to fill in later. There is no other way round it as far as I know.
