Calender fail

Have some issues with my calender on my iPhone, I can't add entries (no +) so I bought pocket informant but every event add there disappears. Any ideas why please?

I really miss having a decent calender, it hasn't worked since I got the 4s.

Not sure about pocket informant, but the no+ sign in the calendar app, is usually because you haven't got icloud enabled.
