Cable Question

Hello,

I want to record audio from my ipad apps to my Mac Intel computer, IMac, and I was told there's an audio cable I can connect from my ipad to the computer, record from the ipad apps and it will then record into Logic and other computer apps. I want to make sure that I get the right cable. I'm running the most recent OS on my Ipad and on My Mac it's 10.5.8.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
