Buying a used ipad - old log in details

I am planning to buy a used Ipad from eBay or gumtree. How would i use it as the previous owner would have registered with apple already?

All you have to do is go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content And Settings. This will erase everything on the iPad and put it in the same condition it had when it was new. You can then set it up as a new iPad with your own Apple ID.
