Well, you convinced me, Chris! I went and bought it and now have it installed on my iPad3 (yes, there's a retina version out now). Here's my main screen:

Now if I can just figure out how to use Photoshop [better] to make my own big icons. I've got the template (provided by the developer) but I can't seem to get it to work.

Anyone reading this care to give me some minor Photoshop tips? Pleeeeeeease?! :D

Anyway. This is a wonderful way to use the iPad. I've spent an enjoyable afternoon making this theme 'just right." I like it so much that I've removed most of the other things from the default view (e.g. gridlock, FolderEnhancer, etc.). Figure if I'm not going to really use them, then why have them running.

So, I'm here to tell you: Best $2.99 (USD) I've spent in a while. Lovin' it!

Now, if I can just get these durn icons made ... :)

Marilyn

EDIT TO ADD: Yes, this theme has been updated to include a version for the iPad3. It's called "BoxorHD for iPad (Retina)," so make sure that's the one you get if you have an iPad3. It's only in black right now, although the developer has said he's working on a white theme... I have an iPad3 and so far, so good.

Hey Marilyn, when you say you removed gridlock and folder enhancers how would you do that. I have the infinifolders and gridlock and just curious how you would stop them. I downloaded the Boxor Theme and would love to play around with it. Thanks

Thanks, Chris, for the video. I'll give it another shot...

@musicman: To "get rid of" Gridlock and FolderEnhancer, I just wen to Cydia and uninstalled them. Again, so (for now) I won't be needing them while I use this theme, I didn't want them. So, I went to the Installed tab in Cydia and Removed them. After the respring, they were gone.

Hope this helps/clarifies.

I read on anther thread that boxor theme made iPad unstable, etc. Are you having any stability issues? I want to buy it but not if it's not functioning fully.

I found my ipad was crashing whenever i unplugged my charger, i cant directly link it too this fine theme, but it certainly stopped after i removed it. In its defence, ive updated a lot of apps and themes since, and any one of those may have caused the problem.

I'm no longer running this theme (or any Dreamboard theme, for that matter - too limiting). But, AFAIK, it ran fine while I had it; I didn't notice any issues.

The three tweaks, summer board, Winterboard and Dreamboard, are all different ways to theme an iDevice. And, they are all different. That's about all I can tell you - other than that a theme built for winter board will not work on one for Dreamboard ... and vice versa.

Thanks again. That does shed some light. I'm going to stay away from dreamboard for now.

I am using the Honeypad Pro theme for Dreamboard on the new Ipad and its amazing. I think the only thing that needs put in is switching from vertical to horizontal (but it would make some stuff weird since it is really made for horizontal). The theme is the best one out there IMO.

Hello everyone, I just bought Boxor HD for iPad Retina (I have iPad 3), and for some reason, the lockscreen is not working properly. When I turn off the iPad and turn it back on, it looks like it should, with the lockscreen that comes with this particular theme, but when I try to unlock it, it glitches and goes into safe mode. When I restart it, it goes back to this theme's lockscreen, but then if I let the screen go dark, it goes to Apple's regular lockscreen, and works properly with that. So now, only Apple's lockscreen is working with it. I really have no idea what to do, because I would really like to use all the features of this awesome theme. Please help me!

Have you updated the theme? In Cydia, under the description, there is a change log. And, in February, the developer "removed built-in lockscreen due to incompatibility and crashing on iOS 6."

So, to me, it sounds as if you just need to go to Cydia and update to the latest version. Then, it should work...

Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.
