I didn't even try. Got my 10th avocado though. Now I need to hold them for a few weeks until I get to that part of the ET process

Just like you all guessed, the rainbows are very slow in appearing. It may just be in my mind, but I'm finding that if I can click on several in a row (ie let the energy bar get up to 10 rather than just one at a time) then I seem to get more. Not sure if that can be true though.

That is my experience as well. I tend to wait until I have at least 12 before I use energy.

How many extras are you gathering? I'm at 88 shamrocks. My guess is that it's 30 and 60 to upgrade, but don't want to waste time.

I think in previous events, the first round was collecting like 30, but when it came to upgrades the level 2 needed like double or 60' then the lvl 3 needed like triple or 90.

It's like the old saying. Pay me now or pay me later.

Thanks Kel. I had enough for the fountain already, but I collected extras because typically the "reward" building can be upgraded for resources. In this case the Leprechaun Treasury is the reward. But instead of saving my extra shamrocks, I used them to and gifts. Oh well.

Take a pic and submit it! That happened to me with the dried fruit. I was making dried fruit for hours before it corrected to sour cream.

It's waffles...a shame for me bc I put my waffle cafe in storage and can't get it out bc of my population quest. I'm at 67k now. Too low to be able to move buildings in and out of storage.

Did anything happen? Lol I didn't look hard enough and thought it took 5 $ not shamrocks to send gifts.

7 more hats and I'm onto rainbows...It must be hard to upgrade the treasury bc they seem to have given us a long time for this event.

No, you don't need to collect anything in advance. When you finally build the treasury, all three items - shamrock, hat and rainbow - will be available to collect. They all will be walking at the same time. Instead of collecting extra try to construct all the buildings ASAP because the items are becoming increasingly rare. For example, I spent about 60 energy points and found only 2 hats. After hours of clicking I have only 25. I expect the rainbow to be ultra rare. Don't waste your time on extra, you risk running out of time. Build first, work on upgrades later. Good luck.
Oh, and you will most probably need lots and lots of all three items to upgrade. It will be tough: GI will never miss a chance to inflict pain and suffering on players. In three- four days they will start selling their infamous "instant gratification" cases for the most desperate, to bleed them dry.

Thanks Summer...I appreciate the advice. I'd hate to run out of time because I was trying to collect extra and then don't get all the buildings up. I'm at 29 hats...hopefully I can get the rest today!
