Anyone have a guess as to what the secret achievements for the st Patrick's day event are? Keeper of treasures and treasure multiplier.

I kind of have a feeling they're related to the $5 gift of leprechaun gold we can give out. I got 2 pieces. Not sure I want to spend my measly dollars like that though!

That was me. Do you know which particular assignment allegedly required rubies? And how many rubies did they take from you? I lost two and they said they were lost items. No mention of ET whatsoever. I did not even know there was anything in the assignment pertaining to the rubies when I submitted my ticket.

Meanwhile, collecting hats. If you think clovers were pain in the rear, wait until you start collecting other items. I found only 4 hats so far. 80-90% miss.

Btw I think I lost 5. The rep had ZERO details other than repeating there was nothing he could do, they were doing an update to fix the problem and that it wasn't a glitch. ...

I am pretty sure it ill be same-o.

# 1 -- build the Leprechaun Treasury
# 2-- upgrade it to level 3.

I have the same percentages...have 25 hats now, going to be a long go at it.

I can't remember, I think it was workers and books. That guy Andrew Su always gives me the runaround. Apple was awesome...I got a refund within an hour.

I lost mine way before books. Can't be books.

What do you mean by refund? Apple gave you rubies?

No they refunded me for credits I purchased. They did the last two invoices for a total of $13.85. Unexpected but appreciated!

That's awesome. Did you report a problem via invoice? How do you contact Apple to complain about stuff like that?

I tried using the report an issue link on the invoice but my iPad was struggling to connect to their iTunes support portal via that link, so I just went to there directly from iTunes. I just wrote them an email and pasted all my correspondence into the email. Told them the issue...in his response the GI rep admitted there was a technical error to be fixed in the future but wouldn't return the rubies so I didn't have to explain much to Apple. Any reasonable person can see that's an issue, especially when you're charging people to purchase items...such as rubies. I'm sick of their inconsistencies- I really like the game, but I've never encountered so many issues in a game before.

Thought I'd pipe up for once. Been a lurker for months so will introduce myself. I'm skiqueen17 and my town is called Hill Valley. Guess my favourite film :). Thank you to everyone who contributes to this thread. It's very useful.

Welcome! Love Back to the Future too. Glad you've found it helpful.

Thanks for the heads up summer. REMEMBER folks, try to collect extra while your in the sequence, you will need them for upgrades. Upgrades earn you achievements!

How many extras are you gathering? I'm at 88 shamrocks. My guess is that it's 30 and 60 to upgrade, but don't want to waste time.

Good to know. The silliest part in GI response is these rubies are just pixels. They act as if they are asked to part with priceless treasure. It is easier to send the upset player a few pixels than waste time and energy arguing over their own bugs.

No, it is not the worst, trust me.

They also updated Paradise Island which is a lame game anyway, and they managed to screw everything so badly that installation is impossible to complete or cancel. Epic fail. They came up with a "workabout" involving downloading the game on a computer and then synchronizing, blah blah blah. Did not work for me either, don't know about other players. Their programmers are talentless hacks. A bunch of morons, basically.

I agree...the hats are way more rare than the clovers. I was able to collect all the clovers pretty quickly but the hats are much slower going. I'm only at 15. It's going to be a long night!

I heard someone mention that you should be collecting extra of each item to use for later on. What would you need more clovers, hats etc. for later on and how many extra should you collect along the way? I only had one extra clover before I moved on to hats. Did I screw myself over for later by not collections extra? How many of each do you need?

Thanks for all the help. Keep updating on your St. Patty's Day Event progress, everyone!!

I've decided to worry about extras later. I would rather get the base achievement first and then if I can update I will. Especially as I know once the weekend is over the amount of time I have to use energy is significantly reduced.

No, you don't need to collect anything in advance. When you finally build the treasury, all three items - shamrock, hat and rainbow - will be available to collect. They all will be walking at the same time. Instead of collecting extra try to construct all the buildings ASAP because the items are becoming increasingly rare. For example, I spent about 60 energy points and found only 2 hats. After hours of clicking I have only 25. I expect the rainbow to be ultra rare. Don't waste your time on extra, you risk running out of time. Build first, work on upgrades later. Good luck.
Oh, and you will most probably need lots and lots of all three items to upgrade. It will be tough: GI will never miss a chance to inflict pain and suffering on players. In three- four days they will start selling their infamous "instant gratification" cases for the most desperate, to bleed them dry.
