Big Business - game discussion

I'm watching "Love actually" movie set in the UK. Fits nicely with all you blokes and lassies on this forum from the UK. Love the accent.

Kel, I think you are a trend setter. Hey Team Big Business, at the bottom you will see iPad forum menu icons and follow these instruction:

1) select "more"
2) select "settings" from the list
3) select "forum posting options"
4) select "send signature"

5) use a format like city name: {your city name}. Player: {your player name}. Needs: {list something you need}

This will make it easier for all of us to keep tabs without guesswork

Done. Great idea Kel and GAB.

Has anybody heard of living within your means or something like that. You know when you get that pay raise you think life will be great with extra income, but then shortly after that you find yourself struggling again to make ends meet? My warehouse was like 20 and when I upgraded to 24 I thought the game would be so much easier ! Well my warehouse now has a capacity of 90 and I still struggle with it being full, and not finding stuff to sell off. CRAZY RIGHT?!? What's that all about? Do I need help or what? Anybody?

I understand that completely. I am with you in numbers but I hate selling things I might use

My warehouse is only at lvl 3 and holds 20 items, but living within my means is something I apply to this game.

Trying to maximise my profits in the shortest times is a must at this level I think. Whilst trying to do most tasks given I also need to raise capital to fund them tasks with the never ending upgrades to produce the items.

I'm currently doing as follows...

Making sugar cane - 60 coins taking me 5 mins
Making 2 batches of polyethylene - 220 coins each taking me a total time of 4 mins

This then gives me the ingredients for sugar cubes that I could sell for 1170 OR

adding to free coconuts that I get from terminal and in 5 mins I'm 2690 richer... Not bad profit for a 480 spend.

Just get the max space available, then you don't have to worry about it. I just got done going from 4 farms to 10. Placed high end manufacturing into storage and deleted 2 milling plants and upgraded all to make flowers. It cost me about 2.3 million to do it. Had to up my garage too and added a second weaving factory. My point is, go with the flow, don't take this game too seriously. I remember when I started, I would get up a 3 in the morning to play the game. My wife thought I was crazy so I backed off. Don't get too attached to any property, just remember there is an achievement for destroying factories. Good luck to everyone.

Does anyone know the returns and materials needed for the special ice cream factory they are offering?

I was going for the 7 million mark and then the challenge came. Derailed all my plans. I have not made any progress on getting avocados, any suggestions beside buying them. I have prided myself on spending only 10 dollars early on. My luxury stinks but I am rated high on experience, achievements and accuracy.

My assignment is 90 flowers, 26 dresses and 16 candies. The bundle came in with 4 dresses and 14 candies already done. Nice.
I did not notice the new thing right away plus I was doing the daily assignments and making cookies for the contest. Thought there was mo way I could pull this off. 90 friggin flowers! Well, I had to upgrade 4 out of my 6 farms and build and upgrade 2 more. One was making grain for cookies, another - flax and cotton for dresses and both produced overnight cacao beans. I also built and upgraded another factory. By now, candies and dresses are done. I already produced 47 flowers and with 8 farms running I will have 16 more by midnight and another 8 by tomorrow morning, with 19 to go which is a piece o'cake. So, It was not so bad after all.

By the way, I clicked on the contest icon AFTER I delivered 6 flowers to the warehouse, and because of that they did not count toward the "produced amount." I had no idea it was designed this way and was slightly upset but I will probably have my medals anyway. Every time I participated I made it in the upper 30, no big deal. That will be the last two I need for the tower.

Easter is coming, brace yourself for another marathon, folks. Probably more energy bar clickfest, or perhaps 200 eggs to produce and, to inflict maximum pain, an ungodly amount of plush bunnies to upgrade the building.

Great job summer ! Good of you to stick with it, best of luck !

Here is another tip, I had been doing this for a while and had forgotten about it. The gear icon labelled "options", select that and I use the fifth icon down (the man or girl figure). I set that to standing still instead of running. That stops the windmills from turning and the other building moving parts. It also hides all the pedestrians. All that moving stuff was fatiguing my eyes and giving me headaches. Also for those with ADD it is too distracting.
