Big Business - game discussion

After a lengthy period of time, GI have finally reverted back (it's taken a few weeks, possibly even a month) to me on the ticket about the "radiant business" quest - UK_Kiwiguy finished this quest, as per the image, that states "Build two sun cafes". I have built four... so I contacted GI implying that there may be a problem... GI are categorically stating that building two sun cafes is not the requirement for completing this quest... I'm at a loss!

Did you ever get this figured out?

I did notice that uniter of nations is 3 national flags not just one. I got the U.S, Swiss and German and the award popped up.

Tennessee is a little too inland, any navy bases in Tennessee?
No just Marines. Probably closest Navel is Charleston, SC. Closest Navel Air base probably Jacksonville, FL. I am just about to finish the book and energy Eiffel Tower upgrade. I hope I'm getting close to the end! :)

I was just about to post that! Get your flags while they're being offered!

Guys, there was a question about Milk Shop vs Sweet Waffle Cafe. I own both plus Sombrero Restaurant, and I am going to post some calculations, here, so you can decide for yourself what is more suitable for you.

First, the cost of the ingredients.

Grain 60
Milk 260
Sugar cane 60
Polyethylene 210
Eggs 280

Dough160
Sugar 120

The actual cost of production

Dough = 160 + 2 grain (120) + milk (260) = 540
Sugar = 120 + sugar cane (60) + 2 poly (420) = 600

Tortilla 1200
Waffle 1300
Ice cream 1500

The actual cost of production

Tortilla = 1200 + 2 dough (1080) + 2 eggs (560) = 2840 (15 min)
Waffle = 1300 + 2 dough (1080) + 2 sugar (1200) = 3580 (20 min)
Ice cream = 1500 + 3 eggs (840) + 2 milk ( 520) = 2860 (15 min)

PROFIT

Tortilla 9920 - 2840 = 7080
Waffle 9100 - 3580 = 5620
Ice cream 6200 - 2860 = 3340

I use 2 confectionary plants and 2 ranches to produce tortillas every 30 min. My third ranch pumps milk. When my plants are busy with something else (muffins, fruit cakes, special orders etc), I use my milk shop.

I make waffles only when I have extra sugar, that means rarely. There are extra steps in producing sugar and, most importantly, tortillas are more profitable.

I hope it helps.

If you purchase the double decker bus (the one that you can only buy with dollars) you'll pretty much get an avocado each trip. I've launched it three times and have received 2 avocados and a pump. Good buy...well maybe, it was $30.

Do you do taxes too? :) thanks for this breakdown...I'm going to consider buying the tortilla factory when I have spare credits. Still trying to purchase all the entertainment buildings that you buy with credits.

Never actually did the calculations but I also prefer the tortillas. I agree the waffles are an extra step and I also rarely have extra sugar. Great information to share SummerNight. Thanks!

I'm working on the upgrade to get the double decker now. I was hoping it would get more avocados. Thanks for the info Sugar! :)

You must be very lucky. I run mine on a constant basis and in 2 weeks got 2 avocados. So upgraded my terminal and bought a couple of buses to help out but not having much luck with them. I'm still collecting gold beams which is just as slow so hopefully when I need the avocados I will have them all. It does good bob cash at $6,000 a trip.

Anyone know how many times you have to go through all friends before you get your first gold beam?

I get beams all the time...I think it's random though. Sometimes it's in my first few visits, sometimes the last visit. I like the new setup for visiting friends (bottom bar). The old way was brutal.

Probably beginners luck then! Ack hopefully I didn't burst my beginners luck bubble by saying it out loud!

Downloaded this app today after reading this thread..

I agree the bar for friends is great! I just wish they would do something about the community tab. What purpose does it serve? You can't invite them to be friends.
