Big Business - game discussion

Good news for a change, folks. I haven't received a proper response from GI yet but my camera problem is no more. My guess I was not the only one who complained and they fixed the thing. For now, at least.

Btw, I got my first gold coin today.

Kel, I tried to send you a chisel. The game says "3 free gifts left" but when I clicked on it, the message was, "error, you are not allowed to do more gifts."
Go figure.

Thanks for trying :)

I only need 5more for current task but I also need 10 trained workers and my college still has 18 hrs left so I'm in no hurry lol

Just got my dairy, well I will have soon as its built. I'm working on upgrading all buildings at moment and when bored I'm keep having a change and moving all items around. But since that's a task somewhere its worth it lol

Welcome back

Nice to be back on, i have candy to finish up for the days contest. Plus the daily short quest. The daily long quest would wait til I get back to work.

That brings up something that has been missing, the daily challenges. I have not heard much on that here. Is everyone doing them or are they just a chore?

I can only do them on my days off, as i work in pr and it demands all my time. And the ones on Monday and Tuesday are always easy so there is no way I can compete with the people who get 100+.

I do them. They are pretty easy to complete and you get good coins for them.

You might be right... I 'finished' the last dress this morning, shortly before 7am on my way to the shower..., which is when my contests starts/ends.

Well, nothing else to do but try again :-)

Was gutted as finished #4 on the dresses contest! Still trying for the Top Player achievement. I don't want to cheat by using by coins but reckon may have to! :-(

No way! I was just thinking how infuriating that would be. I'm convinced 1 or 2 of the top 3 are usually cheaters! They have 100-200 more items than everyone else. Maybe they're super rich and instead of going to St. Tropez to shop they stay at home and blow their money on Big Business contests ;)

Hey Kat, you mean BB doesn't demand all your time? Lol. Yeah that's crazy, what the top players do. I am hoping that one will find our forum and let us in on their secret. Can you let us know what parts of the globe you play from?

I do them first thing in the morning, so to speak, before I unload my overnight goods because sometimes these goods are exactly what the game is asking for -- meat, books, solvent or motor oil, wax, gems, veggies, plywood, potatoes for starch, down (the game is obsessed with starch and plush bunnies), stuff like that. They can feel like a chore sometimes, yes, and so can every other assignment in this game.

Hey, I managed to send you a chisel... There is no such thing as enough tools, lol. You should try to upgrade the building you intend to keep. That requires tons of tools.

I always do the short tasks...those are super easy. The long ones I try to do each day, if I can get it ready before school (I'm a teacher) and continue after school and into the evenings. Sometimes I can even set it up to finish overnight...that works out the best. They are worth a lot of coins, so it's great when I'm able to get one done.

I both try to participate in the daily contests and do the daily production tasks. They really just give me something to do besides grind for efficiency. I find them kind of fun.

Summer, I like the way you think. Just before I goto bed I set up a bunch of stuff just like you. Potatoes, fish, cotton etc. then when the morning short one comes in I'm ready to get it done before I goto work. The key is to not finish too fast I think. At first there were in the afternoon but now it comes about 5 am. At first because of my planning, I would have it done almost immediately. And I think because of that, it comes earlier and earlier. So now, I try and draw it out. I thought doing them fast would get me a gold coin. I have 2 gold coins but they came not when I finished early nor late.
