Big Business - game discussion

My game just went back to start. Has this happened for anyone else?

This just happened to me also. Have submiited a ticket. Thankfully had a screenshot so i know what my city looked like.

Well it's been a long week and my game has just been restored. Whole week of panic and worrying about a game and whether i'd lost everything.

Back to grinding the population down to zero now. Started at 208,000, now at 171,000.

What was the problem?

Are you sure, there are silver medals (from contests) as well as Gold and Silver keys left and I haven't seen any ruby requirement. Nearly there! :-)

There was no mention about rubies before silver beams, I am pretty sure of that. After the tower was upgraded, I had a series of screens stating that this and that was completed (I had 15 engineers in stock, plenty of whatever tools were required, and who knows what else) so I jumped right into the book business. Perhaps 10 engineers walked out with the rubies? I am really curious what explanation CS will come up with. All I know is the game is a glitchfest.

For example, I was mining and stockpiling granite way before I needed it so at one point I sold 6 out of 10 to free much needed space in the warehouse. When the game asked for granite, I started mining again. While I was mining, I noticed that there was already a check mark against granite. Cool. I kept collecting the silver beams (took forever at max visits) and after I was finally done, the game forgot to take granite. That was a nice bug.

Now I need more drills, I only have 27. Please send me some if you have me as a friend (Summerville). Thank you! I always try to send gifts in return. When I run out of free gifts I usually send the paid ones instead.

Whew...starting the last part (I hope) of the Effeil tower. Just need to get the avocados to drop. Working on the cheesecakes, I have the jams made so it is just a matter of making them.

Here is a tip, I think, but you know how you visit friends and get two opportunities to tap a helping spot. Right you always get two?

Sometimes, I struggle with one or both. They are sometimes hidden. I find you have to search the wind towers, but also the terminal or quarry. Those are sneaky, the terminal or quarry may have it but you can't see it. So when ever I can't find the two spots I always tap the terminal and the quarry. I usually will find the last one there. Hope that helps

Great tip! I also find that if I can't find the second one, I go to another friend's city, then back to the first one, and it usually pops up in a different spot, more easily to see.

No Excesses & Ingrate!

Leave me alone is having a population of 1.

I think you're referring to home sweet home achievement, which we have yet to figure out :)

I thought the leave me alone task was refusing to help people who ask

Nope that is dictator. Check out the list on page 23, we almost have all of them figured out!

I have a plan for completing two of the most difficult secret achievements. For "Ingrate", don't place any gifts until you have 300 in your inventory, then place/destroy them all at once. That way you don't have to keep count. "Dictator" was annoying because unless you kept a tally, you had no way of knowing how close you were. For "No Excesses", do it along with the save 1,000,000 coins achievement. (i.e. after you get 1M coins, use them to buy 500 decorations and destroy them).

I enjoy visiting other people's cities. It's funny to see how some people (like me) are OCD and have their buildings all in neat rows while others have absolutely no organization. It's great because it really doesn't matter how you choose to organize your city.

You might have a bit of a problem with placing all those gifts and decorations at once, because you are only allowed to place so many at one time. Gifts do count as decorations tho, so they all count towards the no excess achievement. I got my ingrate and excess achievements at exactly the same time. It is hard going and you feel you will never get there, but it does happen. Maybe you could try placing and destroying in batches of 10, and keep track that way.

Does anybody know which eiffel tower task comes after 25 hammers/10 engineers? Can't find it at the forum and I want to know if I have to start preparations (upgrades etc.). I complete the 10engineers task tomorrow...
