Best Settings for Outside Use - Mainly Reading???

I use IBooks and Overdrive a lot for reading. Have not used the Kindle app yet but probably will.

What settings do you use as far as brightness and sepia off/on and such for reading outside. Are there any adjustments specific to outside use that you recommend or maybe a particular screen protector or an app ? I have not bought an anti-glare screen protector yet and was wondering if that is an improvement?? Any suggestions?

I can read OK with IP2 but would like to optimize it as much as possible.

Your best bet for extensive reading outside is to buy a real Kindle. I have both an ipad2 and a few Kindles, the Kindles blow away the iPad for reading outside.
