Like you I'm away on holiday right now. Lets hope the fix works. Not sure I agree with their statement that some users may have been suffering from slow Internet connections! Funny that all other streaming apps had been fine.

Yay - update doesn't fix the problem at all but mildly changes the nature of it. Now when a program pauses it will keep going in small bursts of a second or so rather than get stuck altogether.

OK I may have jumped the gun slightly being in a bad mood when I initially tested this.

Re-installed iPlayer and have now watched 2 half hour HD programs without a blip.

Time for another test tonight with a whole 1hr program (getting bold). If that runs OK I'll admit iPlayer might finally be back to its best

EDIT, JUST USED THE IPLAYER FOR AN HOUR AND NO HANGUPS, SO WELL DONE BBC, AND KEEP IT THIS WAY
