A fresh report coming from MacRumors claims that the company has begun constraining some pieces of Apple-branded inventory for third-party retailers. Thus, Apple is believed to be making some big changes when it comes to the lineup of its iPod, iPad mini 2 and original iPad Air products.

The above screenshot has been taken from within Target’s inventory system, and shows that the retailer will be reducing its iPod, iPad mini 2 and iPad Air stock. Furthermore, all models within the iPod lineup are being constrained by Target which could hint to the fact that Apple plans a refresh. Juli Clover with the publication is sharing some more details:

"Images of unreleased iPod touches, nanos, and shuffles were first discovered hidden within iTunes 12.2, and a rumor has suggested the iPod touch could receive a processor upgrade and new color options while the nano and the shuffle might be available in new colorways.

There are chances that the iPad mini 2 and the iPad Air could be replaced by the iPad mini 3 and the iPad Air 2 as Apple could already be preparing for the launch of a third-generation iPad Air and a fourth-generation iPad mini.

The next-gen iPad Air is believed to get an A9 processor and Force Touch while the fourth-generation iPad mini has been rumored to feature an iPad Air-style redesign which would eliminate the mute switch and will introduce larger speaker holes.

Apple is expected to introduce the new iPad mini and iPad Air models this fall, and this year's iPad update could also include an all new model, the much-rumored big-sized iPad Pro.
