A recent study of app developers has the number of developers that say they plan on making apps that will work on Android has been steadily falling. It is down by 10% from this time last year. It mostly has to deal with the fractured state of Android versions and issues across platforms.

In the same study, the number of developers that say they are using HTML5 for graphic content, is around 80%. Mozilla was the last to hold out against supporting the HTML 5 standard in their browser and they have now announced that they were giving up fighting against it.

Yeah lets list the issues with Android :)

7 Screen resolutions.
4 XML screen layout specifications.
4 CPU/GPU setups and one is a software GPU driver.
6 Major PPI (Pixel Per Inch) setups.
14 version of Android in use, with 5 versions still in popular use.
The Dalvik VM.... ( I won't bore you with the details on that one)
2 app markets that conflict with each other.
No review process for Apps.
Requires users to understand every nuance of each security item listed when you download an app and try to install it.

And the big one. The money being made just isn't as good as iOS.

Those are the easy ones to rattle off ;)
