Hi,
I am a new Ipad owner and I have two questions. The first is do I need antivirus internet protection and if so which is best and least expensive? ( quality/price)
Second, I work with Firefox on my PC and am wondering, should I download it to my Ipad also?

No, you don't need virus protection, thanks to Apple's "sandbox" method of segregating apps. To date, no viruses have been launched against iPads. So, don't need to buy anything, cause you're good.

Second, I work with Firefox on my PC and am wondering, should I download it to my Ipad also?

You can't download Firefox to your iPad. The only way to get apps ("programs") on the iPad is via the App Store and Firefox is not one of the available browsers. If you are dissatisfied with Safari, have a search through the App Store (or use this forum's Google search box) to find a browser that you may like better.
