What's new

Adding watermark to Pages documents.

There are plenty of apps that will watermark an image before using it in pages, not sure if that is what you mean?

The Archangel

It does not appear to be possible on Pages as supplied by Apple.

However there is a $0.99 app called iWatermark which will do the job.

I stand corrected. Here's how.

Go to document setup, touch the + button to add a picture, resize and position it using the handles, touch the paintbrush, touch style options, drag the opacity slider to wherever you want it and touch Done. Your text will now overwrite the graphic, and your graphic will appear on every page.

Thank you Kevin. Will give that a try! :D

Thank you. I had no idea how to do this until you asked the question, and set me off playing with Pages.

Haha! It's great discovering new things! Although, I'm now trying to type over the picture? Any ideas?!

I reduced the opacity to around 10%, and was then able to type straight over the graphic.

Strange. My screenshot is what you are trying to achieve? I'll have another look; see if I missed any steps out.

Just tried it again with a new blank document. Worked just the same as before. FWIW, I'm running the latest versions of iOS and Pages, and my iPad is stock.

What do you mean stock?

Not jailbroken. There are all sorts of tricks you can do on jailbroken machines. The reason for telling you that mine is stock is so that you know that I don't have some sort of dodgy process running in the background that will allow me to do something that cannot normally be done.

Everything I suggest should work for every iPad. One reason I don't jailbreak.
