8.1.1 on original iPad Mini

Can anyone comment regarding performance versus iOS 7? Did 8.1.1 help much over 8 or 8.1? Thanks.

I'm using it on the original iPad mini. Overall l think its just a touch slower, less responsive than the 7.1.1 I was used to. Some of the new features generally are glitchy for me but everything works well enough that I'm ok with it.
