Yes I have this problem also. I frequently get the message "cannot connect to internet" or internet connection lost" or a game that I am playing will just stop. I only use my iPad on the wireless at home. I don't think it's my router as I have no problem on either of the 2 iPhones in the house...
'An iPad specific app' to view YouTube videos? Or an app to take the place of YouTube? That is two different things, and the second does not address my problem of accessing my videos. Some of the vids I had uploaded from my iPhone and are no longer available elsewhere.

You've got to be kidding about using the iPhone version on the iPad! The screen is only the size of the iPhone. 2Xing it fills the screen but with crap resolution. And, at least for me, it won't rotate to landscape! No good!

I use the app Skyfire. A little video window pops up whenever you are on a site with Flash content. Works pretty good tho you can't scroll the video very easily if you want to jump ahead.
