Bingeing Victory at Sea on YouTube. I was a little too young when it appeared in 1952, but I've always loved the musical score, and for years have meant to watch the episodes for which it was composed by Richard Rodgers. Better late than never!

Of course, the series documents WWII from an Allied perspective, but I'm frankly surprised at how little the program demonized the former enemy, only 7 years after the war ended.

Last week I watched Netflix's Greatest Events of WWII in Colour, an excellent and well-balanced dive into the motivations and strategies of both sides, and in particular highlighting mistakes both Allied and Axis that changed the course of the war. Recommended for any student of history.

After a couple of false starts the update is complete. I’m now downloading all available updates to Lion.
