Does anyone know how to get VLC on IPad2

Welcome to the forum! Unfortunately due to licensing issues the VLC App for iPad and iPhone was pulled last year. I was lucky enough to get it while it was available and it works as well as the Mac version. It may reappear one day...one can only hope. More about why it was pulled here:

Hi as said previously it was pulled. I liked vlc but i found it struggles with any HD MKV file. A really good alternative I've found is AVPlayer HD. It does cost but I've found it to play HD files really well. The original iPad I think was part of the problem as it didn't have the horsepower to decode files with big resolutions but as you have an iPad 2 you should be ok. I'm sure if vlc hadn't been pulled it would have been updated to take advantage of the newer model. I hope it comes back as well.
