Tranfering music to ipad2

Is there a way I can take all the music off of my iTunes and put it on my ipad2? I have done it through home sharing but that is all. I want to use my music through the day app I purchased. When I plug my iPad into my pc the iTunes does not pull up the iPad at all? Please help!

Try this......When starting iTunes press and hold the shift key. You should get a prompt (if you have synced your iPad with itunes once before) that will ask you to choose an iTunes library. Navigate to your iPad library and click on it. That will open your iPad library and you should be able to sync your music. Hope it works for you. Interested in the outcome...post results.
