From poking around in this forum, I think you are correct on needing “MyWi”.

Yes...and it works like an absolute charm. I ditched my Sprint Mifi card and now use this. Best $20 I've spent in a long time!

I also use MyWi... With my iPhone 4 to my wifi iPad. Works great but means on my iphone I am stuck on 4.0.1 and not 4.1 until it is jail broken. I could use 4.1 to help with proximity sensor issue, and Bluetooth and yellow tinted flash pics. But I won't give up MyWi so will wait.

Totally different.... that is tethering FROM iPad. We are talking about tethering TO iPad.
