Davy Jones of The Monkees passed away today of a heart attack, age 66.
Listening to the band now. Another hard blow to the baby boomers.
Oh wow!!! Hey hey we're the monkeys, people say we money around, but we're too busy singing, to put anybody down... I remember them from when I was a small child.

God didnt know that and only 66,one of if not the first manufactured band, did some good stuff back in the day.
They really did have some great songs, irregardless of where those songs came from. Besides, it's not like much of the current pop music isn't fabricated either. I mean...seriously.....
Oh yes of course they are, just mentioned it as back then bands wernt manufactured, they were put together for the tv show The Monkees and went on to be highly sucsessful.
Davy Jones thanks for all the great music....long live the monkees...
Cheer up sleepy jean, oh what can it mean to a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?
Guess I'm showing my age. I watched the "Monkees" on TV as a teenager. Of course I said it wasn't really me but my little brother. I still sing that "hey hey we're the Monkees" allay when I hear it.
RIP Davy Jones.
