No sound on mp4 movie file on iPad2

Hello, I am a newbie here, so be gentle
I have just purchased and installed AV PlayerHD on my iPadsd 2.

I have installed via iTunes on my desktop computer ( my iPad> Apps tab> drag and drop to the Apps box at bottom of screen, then Add) an mp4 movie file, and corresponding .srt subtitle file. This movie and subtitle have played properly on VLC media player.

Unfortunately, there is no audio when I go to play it on my iPad2

Can anyone please assist?

Try deleting the files from AVPlayer, then re-add them to see if that helps?
