Hey, joined here after getting my new toy for Christmas, have a mac book pro and an iphone4, this iPad is my new addiction. Still trying to figure some things out, like why when I'm posting on some other forums Safari kicks me out and back to my home screen. Much to my surprise it hasn't happened here which leads me to believe the problem lies with Safari. Anyone else encounter this. Sorry that was a pretty long hi..............

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Regarding your question sometimes you just need to do a little housekeeping to make sure your iPad keeps running smoothly. Apps will play up from time to time and they just need to be closed out completely. You do this from the home screen by doing the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. Long press an app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it. I close mine every night, doesn't take very long but your iPad will run more smoothly.
