Missing edit and delete buttons in IPAD 1 calendar

I have an iPad one and there are some appointments which I cannot edit or delete. I have my calendar synched with Y7mail calendar. I have checked and the appointment was not created in the y7mail calendar. Has anyone got suggestions? I have searched this forum for edit button missing but can only find threads on missing delete buttons. Thanks
