iPad3 Newbie

I just bought my first iPad this past Sunday from the Apple Store.
I go the 64GB with Verizon Cellular.
Am Loving it, so far.....!! I bought the grey Cover/Case for it but am thinking of returning
it for a leather Cover and getting the incase magnetic snap case for the backing.

I paid for 1GB through Verizon on Saturday and I somehow used all of it that night
and into the next morning.... although I don't feel like I did a whole lot on it. I need
to call Verizon and figure out what happened... I guess I need to turn cellular and wifi Off
when not in use??!!

What were you doing with your iPad? Thats still a lot of usage for just 1 night though. Streaming videos is probably the biggest user, some apps if left open will still reconnect to the Internet every so often. So close your apps completely when not in use....From the home screen do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. Long press an app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it, close all your apps, now press the home button to return to your screen.
You can keep an eye on your 3G/4G usage, go to Settings - General - Usage - Cellular Usage and you will see your Sent and Received usage here. It's a good idea to reset the statistics here each month in line with your Carrier account. I always turn off my Cellular Data when I'm using wifi also.

Not sure if I will use up all the 64gb but may come close.....

I need to start doing a Lot of researching on what all I can do with it.
I may even sign up for one of Apples demonstration sessions.
I plan on taking it on travel with me and plan on downloading a couple
of movies for the plane ride.....which is one of the reasons for the 64gb
