Apple had lots of ipad 2s. They just dont send them out so that everyone thinks they are more popular than they are. Even if they are pretty popular

On contract. I wanted the 3G as wifi is only an option at home and girlfriends (aye at here place, she isn't a human hotspot, no wait she is hot, just not emitting wifi signals).

To be honest the local Apple stores have a regular amount turning up, and due to them not allowing you to order them to pick up, there shouldn't be any wait!

I just called the apple stores near me and popped in and picked one up but I am within train distance to central London.

Argos allowed me to reserve one for collection but I phoned the store to confirm and they had none in stock.
I ended up going to the Apple store in Southampton for my 32GB wi-fi iPad 2
