During the last few days we've been seeing a flurry of updates as app developers rush to make their apps fully iOS 8 compatable.

Just a few more hours to go until the public release tomorrow. Apple servers are going to get hammered yet again.

Hi Scifan.. - boy, this has come up fast - do we have a thread yet as to the best way to make this transition? Dave :)

We don't have a dedicated thread dealing specifically with updating to iOS 8 but the update is done the same way as your last update. You'll be able to update OTA as well as through iTunes. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4623

Yep - I was going to do the upgrades like the last major iOS offering, i.e. backup our iPads to their respective computers and then do the upgrades plugged via USB to iTunes - will wait a week or so to let the Apple server traffic calm down a bit - thanks. Dave :)
