IOS 3.4/3.5 Upgrade Problems

I've had my ipad (1) for almost a year and never had any problems until the last OS upgrade.

The upgrade failed (code 6) and I had to do a restore, disable my security s/w (win 7) and repeat the upgrade several times before it appears to have worked. However there are some problems, particularly with syncing music and photos. For instance sometimes the music syncs ok but plays with no sound, and if more music is transferred the whole lot disappears!

Has anyone had similar problems with this upgrade?

Problem solved!

It turns out that the problem is the free version of the firewall s/w Zone Alarm. When this is disabled on my Win7 pc the sync works perfectly.

Thanks are due to Fieldwulf on the Zone Alarm forum who had, and solved, this problem last September.
